What is curfew?

Q:  How do I get my car out of impound?

A:  Come to the police department to get a release form.
      Must provide ID, proof of ownership and proof of insurance.

      Q:  Lost or found domesticated animals?

      A:  Mendota Heights police department uses Four Paws Shelter. 
           It is their policy to take DOGS ONLY.  Therefore, we do not take any cat    
           complaints.

 Q:  Dead animal in your yard?

 A:  If there is a dead animal on your property it is your responsibility to remove it. 
       If the animal is on the street, contact Mendota Heights Public Works.

        Q: How do I get a copy of a police and/or accident report?

        A: Come in person to the Police Department and fill out a records request.  There
             is a .25 cent per page charge for any copies made.  Requests may take up to 10 days

        Q:  Solicitors in your neighborhood?

        A:  All for profit solicitors are required to come to the police department to get a
              permit.  Each person that goes to the door, must have a permit.  Criminal
              checks are run on these individuals.  The businesses themselves are not
              investigated.

     A:  Dakota County Curfew Times

 

Under 12: Sunday-Thursday    9pm-5am

Friday&Saturday   10pm-5am

Ages 12-14   Sunday –Thursday 10pm-5am

Friday-Saturday     11pm-5am

Ages 15-17    Sunday-Thursday   11pm-5am

Saturday&Sunday  12pm-5am

 

It is unlawful for any juvenile age 17 years and under to be present in

any public place within Dakota County between the hours listed above.
