Where is City Hall and what hours is it open?
A:
Mendota Heights City Hall is at 1101 Victoria Curve. Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. (651)452-1850

Who is on the City Council and when do they meet?
A:
The Mayor is John Huber and the Council Members are Ultan Duggan, Jack Vitelli, Sandra Krebsbach, and Mary Jeanne Schneeman. The City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall

Q:
Who do I call about a sewer back-up?
A:
If wastewater is backing up only when you are using water, the plug is likely in your service line and you should call a qualified sewer cleaning contractor to service the line.
If wastewater is backing up when no water is being used in your building, the City sewer may be plugged and you should call the City immediately. When in doubt, call the City first. During normal business hours, call Public Works at 651/454-4059. After hours, call West St. Paul Dispatch, 651-450-1111.

Which projects require a building permit?
A:
Permits are required for most construction projects, including re-roofing, decks, fences, swimming pools, retaining walls over 48 inches, storage sheds, and any remodeling or new construction. Permits are also required for mechanical, electrical or plumbing work. (651)452-1850. Contact the Code Enforcement Department at (651)452-1850 for permit requirements before beginning a project.

Do I need a pet license for my dog and cat?
A:

Cats are not required to be licensed. Dog licenses can be obtained by coming to the City Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or by downloading the dog license application form by clicking here. You will need proof of rabies vaccination from your veterinarian. The cost of dog licensing is:
Female Spayed / Male Neutered $3.00; Female Non-Spayed / Male Non-Neutered $6.00
The license year runs from May 31 to May 30. Only three dogs over four months of age are allowed per residential premise.

A:
Mendota Heights is located in Dakota County. The courthouse, which serves all of Dakota County, is located in Hastings at 1560 Highway 55.

A:
Stop by City Hall and receive a recycling bin. The first bin is free. If you need to replace a lost or damaged bin, there is a slight charge.
